About Sloan Electric

Company

History

We began as Frank W. Sloan Electric Company in San Diego in 1938. Bob Gray bought the company in 1968, and Jerry Gray purchased it from his father in 1985. In June 2025, Hersch Patel acquired the company, building on its strong foundation while bringing a renewed focus on innovation, growth, and continued excellence in service. Along with owners, our name has changed a few times over the years. But in nearly 80 years since we opened, our operation has never wavered. We’ve remained committed to providing the best possible products and services, both on a company-wide and individual level. In fact, many of our current technicians have been with us for more than 25 years.

Our shop, which includes an additional 20,000 square feet of yard space, is located conveniently close to San Diego’s major north-south and east-west freeways
