Machine Shop Service

One-Stop Shop for All Machining Needs

Sloan Electromechanical operates a fully integrated, state-of-the-art machine shop that serves as the backbone of our repair operations. By maintaining these capabilities in-house, we provide a "One-Stop Shop" experience that ensures total quality control, faster turnaround times, and the ability to manufacture precision parts that are otherwise obsolete or hard to find. Whether it is a simple repair or complex component fabrication, our machine shop delivers the precision required for heavy industrial applications.

Our facility is equipped with conventional and specialized machinery to handle a wide range of mechanical requirements:
Milling, Turning, Grinding, & Shearing

Our full-service machine shop performs precision milling, turning, grinding, and shearing operations to meet tight tolerances across a wide variety of metals and materials. From simple cuts to complex multi-step machining, our equipment and skilled machinists deliver accurate, high-quality results every time.

Our drill press capabilities handle precise hole-making operations across a range of materials, sizes, and specifications for both repair and new fabrication work. Whether drilling a single component or producing multiple identical parts, accuracy and repeatability are built into every operation.

From worn components to damaged assemblies, our technicians perform a full range of basic mechanical repairs to restore equipment to proper working condition quickly and cost-effectively. No job is too routine — keeping your equipment running reliably is always our priority.

Our facility is equipped to cut and manufacture precision gears to exacting specifications, supporting both replacement and custom applications across a wide range of industrial equipment. From spur and helical gears to specialty profiles, we deliver the accuracy and surface finish that demanding gear applications require.

Our certified welders perform both MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals for structural repairs, custom fabrication, and component rebuilding. Whether it’s a field repair or a complex fabricated assembly, every weld meets the highest standards of strength and quality.

Worn or damaged sheave grooves cause accelerated belt wear, reduced power transmission efficiency, and premature drive failure. We regroove existing sheaves to restore proper belt contact geometry and manufacture new sheaves when replacement is the most practical solution.

Our pump repair services cover a wide range of pump types and manufacturers, restoring worn impellers, shafts, seals, bearings, and casings to like-new performance. Each repaired pump is carefully inspected, reassembled, and tested to ensure it meets original flow and pressure specifications before returning to service.

Our technicians disassemble, inspect, and fully rebuild gearboxes of all types and sizes, replacing worn gears, bearings, seals, and shafts as needed to restore full power transmission capability. Every rebuilt gearbox is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and tested to confirm reliable, efficient operation.

Metalizing, or thermal spray coating, is used to restore worn or undersized metal surfaces by applying a precision layer of metal to rebuild dimensions and improve surface hardness. This cost-effective process extends component life, reduces replacement costs, and can often be performed faster than fabricating an entirely new part.

Our brazing services create strong, leak-proof joints between metal components using a filler metal that bonds at high temperature without melting the base materials. Brazing is ideal for joining dissimilar metals, repairing cracked components, and producing assemblies that require both mechanical strength and excellent thermal or electrical conductivity.
